Becoming a fully devoted follower of Jesus begins with an event, but continues as a journey.  It is a Quest for intimacy with God that outflows into kingdom realities in our spheres of influence.  Being a part of His House Church is not about simply attending services, it is about partnering with each other to become like Jesus Christ.

The following ministries were develped to facilitate spiritual growth on the Quest:

  • Transformation Small Groups
  • Foundations
  • Restoration Retreats
  • Lifestyles
  • Growing in the Gifts
  • School of Leaders

We will be developing three progressive methods of growth in the future:  Discipleship, Mentoring, and Coaching

Join us in the journey!

Transformation butterfly

Transformation.  From "extreme makovers" to extreme mistakes, we all want change, but so few know how to find it.

True transformation takes place in a small group environment where those in relationship speak the truth in an attitude of love.  It is the model of scripture that has brought peace and joy to people for centuries.

The PURPOSE  is expressed through the acronym C.O.M.E. (Holy Spirit)

(1). COMMUNITY
• Jesus chose 12 men, first in order that 'they might be with Him' (Mark 3:14), i.e. He recognized His and their need for community.
• In Acts we see them continuing in this way – constantly relating together in 'One accord'.
• The key emphases here are love, relationship, friendship and the corporate nature of body of Christ.
• Psalm 133, where 'brethren dwell together in unity … there the Lord commanded the blessing'.
• The Christian community provides a home for the lonely and rejected. Deals with sense of isolation.
Note: Main reason people join and stay in a church is their need for friendship!

(2) OUTREACH
• The most natural environment for friendship evangelism.
• The cell must have outward vision and a heart for the lost and broken or it will eventually fossilize.

(3) MINISTRY
• Best context for Body Ministry, to allow the Holy Spirit to minister and edify the body.
• The aim of a cell leader is to act as a facilitator of ministry, not to do all the ministry.
• As gifts flow, needs are met, strongholds in people's lives are broken, and there is real growth in people's lives.

(4) EQUIPPING
• Example of Jesus with the 12. Modeled Kingdom character and lifestyle.
• Need to build the Word into people, but as much through modeling and applying Scripture, rather than through teaching, which will primarily be done on Sunday mornings.  It is all about equipping the saints for ministry.

VISION

4 Basic Steps of the Vision
As in the early church, home cells are the place where growth is accomplished and the following 4 things are accomplished:

a.  Evangelism (Win)
Acts 5:42  'And daily in the temple, and in every house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ.

b.  Consolidation (Assimilate)
 Acts 9:32-35

c.  Edification (Discipleship)
Acts 2:42  'And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and  fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.

d.  Commissioning (Send)
 Acts 6:3
 Acts 6:5

The vision of Transformation Small Goup Ministry is to transform our church, our neighborhoods and our city!

Objective & Details of the Restoration Retreat

The Restoration Retreat is 24 hours where both the new believer and mature can encounter God is an exciting, special, and meaningful way away from the distractions of this world. Five major areas are addressed during the retreat:

1.      To complete a full understanding of salvation
2.      To help restore from past strongholds of the enemy
3.      To heal broken relationships
4.      To see all baptized in the Holy Spirit
5.      To impart vision and direction

Come expectant and open to what God wants to do in your life. Let the Holy Spirit convict and heal. Your transparency and hunger are the keys for you to receive all that God has for you in an atmosphere of confidentiality.

Items to bring:
·        You may be in hotel accommodation with towels etc provided so that all you need to bring is your necessary clothing, toiletries, plus Bibles, pens and a notebook.
·        Meals will be provided so bring only lights snacks to carry you over between meals.
·        Don’t bring cell phones or pagers or leave home with your family expecting calls. Similarly, you do not need to bring Walkmans, radios, tape players etc. Regard the television and radio in your room as furniture and not something to play! The retreat is about you spending time with God and giving Him a chance to speak into your life.
·        The retreat is also not the place to socialize. You must allow time and opportunity to be alone with Him and quiet before Him as He ministers to you.

Rules and Regulations:

1.      Punctuality for each activity is vital
2.      Be considerate to other guests and leave rooms clean and tidy on departure
3.      You are responsible for your own property
4.      Do not leave the retreat site during our stay or the meeting room whilst ministry is in process, unless you have an emergency.
5.      Respect the ‘silent night’ rule. Refrain from talking in your rooms at night in order to pray and better hear form God.
6.      Ministering, counseling, prophesying, or sharing dreams, visions, etc between participants is strictly prohibited. The only individuals who are so authorized are pastors and leaders on the retreat.
